Opened in October 2021, KAYU Studio is a design led, considered and curated furniture and homeware store based in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.
Founded by Matthew Bell and James Mitchell, KAYU Studio source and design functional pieces, thoughtfully produced by local artisans throughout New Zealand and Indonesia.
Grounded in a strong ethos, KAYU studio strives to create a mindful curation of furniture and homeware, intentional in design and thoughtfully created through fair trade practices. Beyond sustainability, at the heart of KAYU are regenerative methods, seeking to better the environment with each step of the journey.
